This summary explains the MIR API rules in clear, human language. It is not a replacement for the full API Terms of Use, but it reflects them accurately.

What MIR Is (and Isn't)

MIR provides neutral participation signals based on partner-asserted events.

It does not judge people, assign blame, or decide who should be trusted.

Think of MIR as context, not a verdict.

You remain fully responsible for how you use MIR data on your platform.

Who This Applies To

Trademarks

MIR® (U.S. Reg. No. 8,483,222) and MEMORY INFRASTRUCTURE REGISTRY® (U.S. Reg. No. 8,484,581) are registered trademarks, both registered October 6, 2026. MIR® is owned by Richard Whitney; MEMORY INFRASTRUCTURE REGISTRY® is owned by MIRegistry, L.L.C. Both are used by MIRegistry, L.L.C. under the owner's control.

You may refer to MIR by name when describing an integration with it, in plain text, without implying endorsement, sponsorship or affiliation. You may not use either mark, or anything confusingly similar, in your own product name, company name, domain name or logo without written permission. The marks name this registry; they are not a generic term for participation-history infrastructure generally.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to conflict of law principles.

When in Doubt

If you're unsure whether something is allowed, ask first.
